Who defines the world?

And what kind of world?

To think globally and to makeshift shrink the world that it will fit well into the mouth and leave enough play for the articulation of the tongue, that allows for methods which can be copied well from the talented idols of media which have inherated some repeated rituals of political and emotional ornamentation and distortion.

The view into the "world" develops from a superabundance of influencies and overlappings. Therefore it is arduous, maybe completely impossible to recognise the essential, to filter out, understand, to relativate.

Often the glance rests in the far in an anxious bluredness, where the pining, yearning, longing for complete satisfaction of the emotional palette, can be fed.

Very nearby, almost next door, many worlds which are waiting alarmingly for confrontation, are lurking. Surely, terribly anxious, one can escape these through lifelong physical and emotional evasive maneouvres.

But there is another possibility: to observe, analyse and sight that which is unknown and foreign and lies dormant in the unconscious.

The sighting of living rituals, perspectives, occurrences, which seemingly are closed in themselves and yet are coexisting in various contexts and dependencies, is supposed to be the challenge for those artists participating in SOHO this year.

Sometimes only a deficiancy of communication is blocking the view.
